The site is a blog and a way to advertise antiques for sale rolled into one. My aim was to lay out the site so that it is easy on the eye, gives the viewer everything they want and allows the webmaster the ability to keep it all up to date on his own.

This website went live in March 2010, although I have been designing and programming websites for many many years. The content of the site will be increasing throughout the year, so please check back to see what new sites I have been working on.

The front page of the site includes a javascript based gallery plugin, which I chose to highlight featured news posts about the band which they can update themselves quickly and easily. This keeps content up to date and enables them to easily show their visitors the current important news about the band.

They also have a forum which I created using the popular phpbb software, which lets them chat with visitors of the site, and also features band only sections so they can keep band members up to date also with internal matters.

As for the band themselves they are excellent and have a long history including an appearance in the Full Monty movie! If you live in the Sheffield area and fancy a great brass band experience check out their site for concert dates. They are also a registered charity and are always looking for support, if you feel you can offer them some assistance please drop them a line, contact details can be found on their site.
