The City of Sheffield Brass Band asked me to produce an easy to navigate, attractive website based on their uniform colour scheme of blue and black.

The front page of the site includes a javascript based gallery plugin, which I chose to highlight featured news posts about the band which they can update themselves quickly and easily. This keeps content up to date and enables them to easily show their visitors the current important news about the band.

They also have a forum which I created using the popular phpbb software, which lets them chat with visitors of the site, and also features band only sections so they can keep band members up to date also with internal matters.

As for the band themselves they are excellent and have a long history including an appearance in the Full Monty movie! If you live in the Sheffield area and fancy a great brass band experience check out their site for concert dates.
