Hi and welcome to my ramblings about anything tech related.
I’m hoping that this blog will help out people like me. The often unsung hero of the company who keeps the I.T systems of the world ticking over while “normal” people go about their day, taking it all for granted. I jest ofcourse, but i do aim to post articles and solutions to real world I.T problems that I have come across in my time and hopefully in doing so I might help out a few people who are stuggling with similar problems.
There are plenty of blogs out there reporting the latest news on all things geek so I thought I would try and do something a little bit different. I have worked in the I.T industry for over ten years and in that time I have had the good fortune to experience many technologies and platforms which we have all come across at some stage or other in our working lives. I’m a firm believer in using a big bunch of common sense, drawing on your past experience and using any resource available to you in order to get a job done or a solution found. I don’t need Microsoft’s approval to tell me im an “M.V.P”
(although ive nothing against people that are).
So without further ado, my first post of any note will be about getting FBA (Forms Based Authentication) working in Sharepoint 2010. It took me 2 weeks of investigation and trial and error to get this working 100%, but i have it working now, and the last time I searched this topic there still seems a large number of people unable to get it working. To be honest even the technet articles on the subject are vague on certain parts of the solution.
My Tutorial will be up very soon.
cheers
